Chesham Comedy Club was founded in August 2006 by Chesham United Supporters' Trust following the success of a one-off event; which was originally only intended only to raise funds for repairs to the clubhouse. Since that initial success, we have grown and developed significantly, becoming a regular event here at the Football Club. Over the years we have gradually made improvements to the venue, bringing in top quality sound and lighting equipment and also launching our own website to sell tickets. The experience you get today is a world apart from that first show, where I must admit none of us really knew the first thing about how to run a comedy club! But despite all the changes, the formula of the show itself remains largely unchanged. A typical performance features; an established comedian to open the gig, an up-and-coming open spot, a big name headliner plus a compère to host the whole show.

We are proud of our club, which has rightfully made a name for itself on the UK comedy circuit. We regularly attract a sizable audience and some of the most respected acts from all around the world. To date, we have presented 44 shows and hosted over 130 different acts. We aim to bring you a variety of comedy talent by booking both the best comedians from the national and international stand up circuit as well as giving time to up-and-coming new acts. You will find the same names playing mainstream clubs such as Jongleurs and The Comedy Store, but you won’t have to pay as much or travel as far to see them! In fact, we haven’t raised our ticket prices at all in 4 years and hope you agree our show remains excellent value for money. Best of all, it’s right here in Chesham.

Shows are held once a month on Friday nights. It's a top class show in a local venue with a genuinely friendly atmosphere. As always, there is a full bar serving your favourite drinks - including a selection of real ales and choice of bar snacks. On most nights, our kitchen is also open to serve up tasty hot snacks.

We have a tendency to get very busy; which makes for a great atmosphere but it does mean that if you wish to be guaranteed seating then you will need to reserve your seats in advance. Only a limited number of tickets are available on the door, although we will always do our best to find you a seat wherever possible.

Doors open at 7pm, the show is from 8:30pm.
Please arrive before 8pm and allow enough time to visit the bar and take your seats!
